Hi, this is just a post to show that this Ask Hally advice blog is sorta closed down. Heaven and I haven't had the time to help anyone out (not that anyone would ask us for help), due to excessive schoolwork and such...

If there's anyone (doubt there will be) who wants this blog to stay open, you may leave a message at the Cbox or email us at ask-hally@hotmail.com. Though, we can't make any promises about that.

If, in the future, we consider doing this whole Ask Hally thing (not likely, but yeah), then we might even consider getting ourselves a Youtube Channel for it! But don't get your hopes up (whoever is actually reading this cause I don't think anyone comes here anymore).

Okay... It honestly doesn't matter how many months or years younger he is compared to you. Love has no limits. Haha. Cool. Picking your studies over a guy is a great thing to do. Studies come first. But... if you really like the guy and can't help yourself, try... Urm...? Try to forget about him... If possible. Do you know if he likes you back? If he does... Maybe just give him a chance. When you've done so, maybe... It'll stop you from worrying too much about liking himor not anymore, since you guys are already together... Haha. I hope this helps you a little. =)

Just like Heaven said, it really is good to put your studies first. Well, I think that soon I'll be having your same problem. I haven't had a crush on anyone before (and yet I'm trying to give love advice? Haha), and I'm one of those people who try to get straight As. I think you should try to forget about him... Sure, it must be hard, especially if you see him everyday or so. But, try to be "just friends" instead. I know, Heaven said you should get together but, even though I'm not experienced, I know one thing. Crushes come and go. And this may sound nerdy or adultish or something, but, education is definitely more important. Besides, if you guys are meant to be, you should just let things be, because things will fall into place if it's destiny. As for the rumors, ignore them. It might be hard, but just remember. That girl is mean. She might be jealous because she knows that someone else likes you or something, or she might be covering up the fact that she likes him. I don't know what's going on in her twisted mind. Whatever it is, don't let her bug you. That's exactly what she wants.

First off, it is mean for someone to make up rumors about other people like that. I understand how you feel, but why don't you want to like him? Give him a chance. Wait a sec, would you mind providing me with more info first? Why don't you wanna like him? Is he hot? Is he nerdy? Not your type? Why is that girl making up rumors about you anyway? Tell me! Haha. I would LOVE to help out more! =D

How do you deal with tons of homework?...+ become hardworking..?

Dear Troubled111,

I know too much homework can drive you insane. And you get stressed as well. That's what happens to me. Well, you should try not to procrastinate too much. Plan your homework time and your 'play' time well. Do your homework first, whenever you have the time. If you feel to tired or stressed out, take a break. Maybe watch some television and just chill for a while. Not too long, though. Procrastinating at its worst is wayyy bad. I have to admit it. That's what I usually do. =p If you really are too busy and you think that you can't finish your homework, just try to do as much as you can. Even if you don't finish it... Tell the teacher at school the nest day. Hopefully, he/she will understand your crazy schedule and give you another day to finish it.

And as for becoming hardworking... I know we all don't like to study, but we have no choice. To become hardworking, you have to do your homework. Study hard... And yeah. Stuff... Try doing some studying everyday. Even if it's only for 15 mins. I'm sure that day by day, it'll become better. Your intelligence, I mean... HAHA.

It's so weird how I give out all these advice and never actually follow what I say. Haha. I am weird. Well, just try it. I hope things will be better for you this way.

Clearly, Heaven has given all the advice anyone could give. In fact, I don't think I have anything else to say... O.o

Well, being hardworking is really hard because you can get distracted so easily. I'm being distracted right now by blogging. Haha. If you haven't any time to study because of your tight schedule, no sweat. Just pay attention in class. If possible, take notes. That way, you are being hardworking. Haha. If you take notes while listening, not only will you save time, but you will be able to refer to your notes later. If you try doing notes like after school or something, you'd be wasting your precious time, and might have forgotten everything your teacher said.

And being hardworking is related to planning your time properly. So always try your best to plan your time properly. You could try to make yourself a schedule or list to follow. Just make sure you follow it. I tried it once, and well, things didn't turn out well. Or, while you're in the car or in the shower or something, just think of what you could do with the rest of your day. It's weird, but that's what I do.

Okay... Honestly, I have no idea, but I shall try my best to help you with that. If you feel that a person is lying to you but you're not too sure, you should try to talk to him/ her. Even if the person can look into your eyes (refer to AllyAngel's advice below) it doesn't always mean that the person is telling the truth. Some people are really good liars. Haha. You might like to ask around, maybe? For example, if you feel as if that person has stolen your things and he/ she denies it... Then maybe you'd ask other people if they saw/ notice anything suspicious. Talk to the person and try to get it out from him/ her. I'm sorry if this doesn't really help. It's all I got. NOTE : ALLYANGEL IS AN AWESOME ADVICE GIVER. READ HER ADVICE. TAKE IT! =D

Well, that's a tricky question really. Even I don't know the answer. All I can say is, if that person can look into your eyes and tell you something, that usually means that he or she is telling the truth. I found this video on Youtube that may help you out with your question.

But remember that it is not necessary for someone to be lying if he or she is nervous, because some people feel that way when being accused or when they are trying to admit their feelings to someone.

And it is also not necessary that someone who doesn't show the signs mentioned above is telling the truth. He or she may be a very good and experienced liar.

Even I myself am not very good with these kind of situations, but hey, life's full of risks, and trusting others is one of them. Until an accurate lie detector is invented, just be careful on who you trust.

For example, if your parents tell you not to hang out with your friend, try to listen to them, because they are usually right. And if you feel suspicious of someone, try not to take the risk. Just follow your instincts and stay away. Better safe than sorry.

And always remember to be careful when you're on the Internet. You never know who could be on the other computer; a sensitive, rich, hot guy or a sick-minded old man. So, be careful about how much info you put about yourself online.

Dear Ziksan,

You could try changing your pillow, blanket, air-conditioner temperature, etc. Try to find out if you are uncomfortable with something, and fix the problem.

If you share a room with someone, maybe the sounds that the person makes when he or she is sleeping annoys you. Maybe its their snoring, or whistling sounds that they make. In that case, you have two options. Get earplugs or don't share a room.

Another factor is stress/worries. You might be overworked from school work or worried for your exams. If that is the case, try to relax and not panic yourself. Otherwise, you will feel too worried to get enough sleep for the next school/exam day.

It is possible that you are worried about being insulted by your friends/classmates (maybe you are trying something new and you are afraid your friends/classmates will laugh at you, or that you are always insulted by them and do not want that to happen again) If so, don't care about what they say. Sure, it may be easier said than done, but remember that the only thing that matters is what's inside of you, not out. If your friends laugh at you, that means that they're not your true friends.

If you don't think that the factors I have mentioned above are your problem, try drinking a glass of milk before you go to sleep. It helps some people for some unknown reason. I believe I watched this in Bananas in Pajamas once...

You could always try counting sheep too, but that doesn't work for me.

For me, I usually can't sleep after I have taken a nap in the afternoon. I'm not used to taking naps, and I don't know why, but later in the night I won't be able to sleep.

Another thing for me is that I can't sleep when I'm hungry. It isn't good for your digestive system to eat right before you sleep, so if you are feeling hungry, try drinking some Milo or eating a small midnight snack. This usually helps me.

If all the above won't work, there is a device I've heard of that can help people with sleeping problems. Just tell them that you would like this device to help you sleep. I'm sure they will understand.

If they don't know where to buy it, I only know one place where they sell this device. I'm sure other places have it too, but I've only heard of this one. It's Cosway, a direct-selling company. I'm sure your parents will know what Cosway is. They have many branches in Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.

But being a company, it isn't exactly a store. Only some of the items are sold in the stores. Other items you may order from the catalogue. There's a branch in the Curve, next to Borders. First floor of Borders, I think. You may ask for more information from the workers there. A few of my relatives work for Cosway, you see.

I hope at least one of my suggestions will help you. If none of them do, than may you are noctural. O.o

If people are making fun of you, don't feel bad. Try confronting them about it. I'm sure they'll understand and stop teasing you. Otherwise, just ignore them. Don't insult them back. They're probably making fun of you only because they are jealous. They might also be feeling insecure of themselves and feel the need to insult others just to make them feel better. Just remember, it doesn't matter what's on the outside, because only what's in the inside counts.
